Casarsa plant

It comes from Sylvoz but it stands out from it owing to the vine shoots which are not fixed towards the ground but left free. Over the horizontal cord can be placed one or two couples of movable wires which have the function of supporting the growth, you can even find other varieties which don’t contemplate any supporting wire.

During the vegetative season, the vine shoots can be bended because of the weight of the grapes and the vegatative producted mass and the buds can cling to the wires if these are present.
The casarsa has a good possibility of being mechanized (the pruning can not be included) and it has a low need of labour. The quality and quantity results are quite the same as those ones of Sylvoz.
